The Forge is created and published by T.J. Haines, a Catholic commentator, writer, broadcaster, catechist, and veteran media professional.

I have spent decades working in communication, education, apologetics, catechesis, media, and parish faith formation. Those are not separate tracks for me. They are different tools in one work: the formation of Catholic hearts, minds, and identity.

That work matters because Catholics are not merely being misinformed. They are being formed — and often deformed — by the world around them. News media forms them. Entertainment forms them. Politics forms them. Bad religion forms them. Weak Catholic commentary forms them. Even Catholic-looking media can form them away from the faith if it replaces Truth with reaction, gimmicks, fear, flattery, or tribal loyalty.

The Forge exists for Catholics who know something has gone wrong, but who want more than panic, slogans, and internet warfare.
