I’m T.J. Haines. I launched The Forge to reacquaint Catholics with the faith as it really is — not as the world, the media, sentimental religion, loose theology, or weak Catholic commentary have trained them to see it.
The age is forming Catholics in its own image.
The Forge exists at the point of impact — where Catholic truth meets the forces trying to distort, soften, and replace it.
Through articles, commentary, and the Fire Branded podcast, The Forge confronts the forces shaping Catholics away from the faith as it truly is, away from Catholic identity, and away from their eternal destiny.

About Me
I’m T.J. Haines. I’m a Catholic communicator, educator, evangelizer and commentator.
I’ve spent most of my life in the field of Catholic evangelization: teaching, writing, speaking, arguing, explaining, correcting, forming, and trying to help people see the faith with clearer eyes and understand it deeply.
I’ve worked in Catholic media and secular media. I’ve taught in classrooms. I’ve worked in apologetics, catechesis, communications, and faith formation. But those are not separate compartments in my life. They are all tools I’ve learned to use in one work: the formation of Catholic hearts, minds, and identity — helping Catholics become reacquainted with the ancient faith they were supposed to inherit, which the world and the age are stealing from them.
It’s worse than stealing it from them.
There are forces at play in our modern era — some of them even inside independent Catholic media — that steal real faith identity, real Catholic attitude, and the real substance of the faith from the Church’s children, replacing them with impostors, gimmicks, and decoys that keep Catholics pacified and unaware.
It’s outrageous, and I won’t stay silent in the face of it.
That is the heart of The Forge.
I am not interested in commentary that only makes people angry, or analysis that only makes people feel informed. Catholics have enough people telling them what to react to. They need help seeing what is forming them, what is deforming them, and what the Church actually gives them instead. I form Catholics — not merely with information, but in Truth. Not simply to be awake, but to be aware. Not merely to be alert, but to become a force in the world.I’ve spent 2/3 of my life doing that at a very high level and I have a set of skills that help me to do that very effectively. That’s what I do here.
The Forge is my attempt to bring fire, clarity, and fidelity to that work.
